How Era of We Simplifies Your Due Diligence
Due diligence and supply chain management are crucial in the current and future regulatory landscape.
With increasing regulatory pressure on businesses, compliance is no longer just a legal requirement—it’s a strategic necessity. The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), among others, demand that companies take proactive steps to ensure responsible sourcing, human rights protections, and environmental sustainability.
An agile, user-friendly, and robust due diligence system is essential for businesses to comply with these evolving regulations while also mitigating risks, protecting reputations, and ensuring long-term resilience. Developing such a system requires a structured, technology-driven, and risk-based approach that integrates compliance into core business operations.
But what does effective due diligence look like, and why is it essential for long-term success?
Why Should You Invest in Building a Due Diligence System?
Beyond compliance, a well-designed due diligence system enhances corporate reputation, strengthens investor confidence, and reduces legal and financial risks. By embedding sustainability into supply chains and business operations, companies not only meet regulatory obligations but also gain a competitive edge in an increasingly ESG-focused global market.
Consumers, investors, and stakeholders increasingly demand ethical and sustainable business practices. A transparent and proactive approach to due diligence enhances brand trust and corporate image, positioning the company as a responsible market leader.
Companies with end-to-end visibility and traceability of their supply chains can respond more effectively to regulatory changes, environmental risks, and market demands. A robust due diligence system enables proactive risk management, securing long-term supply chain stability.

One of the most vital bits of supply chain data for compliance to environmental regulations is geolocation data, often stored as GeoJson files. Once again, with the Era of We software you can automatically upload and share these files which will then auto-generate a Due Diligence statement based on that information. These statements can be stored and accessed on the Era of We platform or you can choose to download and store these statements on a local database.

While our system works best with automated transfers and automated processes, we do also provide the option to manually upload data and manually create order documents. In addition, you can also upload and manage multiple orders at once, even if you prefer to manually upload the files.
Our software has been built to accommodate a variety of agricultural commodities including coffee, timber, cacao, hazelnuts, soy, cattle, rubber, macadamia nuts, and palm products. Users can manage a single commodity, multiple different commodities, or they can switch between different commodities as they need to.

A key component of regulatory compliance is maintaining clear and accurate records. With the Era of We software, your due diligence statements can be manually or automatically generated, then stored and accessed on our platform. You can view the entire document history, giving you a clear view of all the documents that are associated with a particular order.
A comprehensive overview of order and document histories is necessary for end-to-end traceability of any supply chain and with our software you have a clear trail of all documents tied to a particular order.
As regulatory landscapes continue to evolve, businesses must move beyond viewing compliance as a mere obligation and instead embrace it as a strategic advantage. A robust due diligence system not only ensures adherence to regulations like the EUDR, CSDDD, and ESPR but also strengthens corporate reputation, enhances investor confidence, and secures long-term supply chain stability.
The Era of We software empowers businesses to streamline compliance management, offering automation, traceability, and seamless integration for a proactive and efficient approach to due diligence. By investing in the right tools and strategies, companies can navigate regulatory complexities with confidence, build resilient supply chains, and position themselves as leaders in sustainable and ethical business practices.
