Hey Shruti,
well, if we talk about a coffee shop, a coffee barista is usually someone mainly in charge with everything coffee related.
In most coffee shop, the coffee barista spend most of his time behind the espresso machine, pulling shots and steaming milk.
Plus, if it's a specialty coffee place, the barista probably also does some pour over (like V60, Chemex, but also Aeropress, etc).
Of course usually the coffee barista job involves also unless a little bit of customer service (giving coffee to customers, maybe also taking the order, etc...), and all the other jobs tipical of the hospitality (helping clean the tables, washing cups and dishes, etc...)
