If you’re trying to switch to vegan coffee, you may have tried various plant-based milks but today we’re going to focus on just one: oat milk. Oat milk is great for those who may be allergic to nut milk and those who prefer creamier milk. Oat milk is fairly stable, rich in fiber, and easy to find in most supermarkets so it’s a great option for vegan coffee creamer. Oat milk coffee creamer can get relatively expensive, but luckily, we can easily make the best oat creamer right at home with basic ingredients.
Oat milk coffee creamer is sweet, full-bodied, and foams easily, which is why it’s so popular for vegan coffee. In this recipe, we add some oil to emulsify the oat milk creamer so it doesn’t split, but you can skip this.
Ingredients
Directions
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 20-30 seconds. Don’t blend for too long however, as this can leave the oat milk with a slimy mouthfeel.
Strain the blended mixture through a cloth filter. Just let the liquid pass through the filter, there’s no need to squeeze or compress the cloth.
Once strained, you can add in extra flavorings if you’d like such as cinnamon or hazelnut.
Your oat milk coffee creamer is ready to use! You can store this oat creamer in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week.
