There are many different recipes for Mexican coffee, but they all generally involve some combination of spices like chili powder, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Some people also add a splash of mezcal or tequila to their coffee for an extra kick.
And speaking of kicks, the below recipe of my iced Mexican mocha is surely going to give you one! So if you're looking for a morning pick-me-up, this might be just the drink for you.
The key to a great Mexican mocha is to use high-quality ingredients. Start with a rich, dark roast coffee, add some sweetened condensed milk, and top it off with chocolate syrup. It's easy to make and delicious!

Sift sugar, cocoa, and seasonings together.
Mix this with the water then heat in microwave for 30 seconds until sugar mix dissolves into water. Chill this in the fridge.
After it's chilled stir the cocoa 'syrup' into the cold coffee.
Serve over ice with milk or cream of your choice. Enjoy!
