Unlike fruity fraps, a double chocolaty chip Frappuccino is rich, decadent, and creamy. It makes a fabulously refreshing drink, but also works well as a dessert, packed with flavour and creamy goodness.
What is a Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino?
Frappuccinos have quickly gone from a fun extra offered by our favourite coffee shops to an absolute essential. These delectable, iced coffee drinks are as loved as our favourite hot drinks.
A double chocolate chip Frappuccino is a classic blended iced coffee drink made from espresso and ice, with added chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, and plenty of whipped cream. If you love a chocolate Starbucks frap, you’ll love this copycat recipe that you can blend up at home in a few minutes.
What Do You Need to Make a Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino?
The best thing about this chocolate Frappuccino recipe is that you don’t need any fancy equipment to make it.
Ideally, you’ll need a good quality blender, to blend everything and crush your ice for a smooth and easy to drink iced coffee. But, if you haven’t got a blender, simply whisk all of your ingredients together and pour over ice to chill.
Then you just need your favourite tall glasses and an environmentally friendly reusable straw.
Ingredients
Directions
Place the ice in the blender.
Pour in the whole milk and chocolate syrup.
*Swap the milk for skimmed or semi-skimmed for a lighter treat.
Add the sugar and chocolate chips.
Add the shot of espresso coffee.
*You can skip this step for a caffeine-free drink, or double for an extra hit.
Cover carefully and blend for 2 minutes until the ice is crushed.
Pour into a glass.
Top with whipped cream – Whisked to peaks or use tinned squirty cream.
For extra marshmallow flavour, whip a tablespoon of marshmallow fluff in with your cream.
Drizzle over a generous serving of chocolate syrup to decorate, and add extra chocolate chips if desired.
Enjoy!
These quantities make one large or two small Frappuccinos; for more, double the recipe.

Marketing as job, barista as passion. An authentic coffee lover, looking for the next fantastic cup of coffee that I will fall in love with. Coffee, for me, is more than a beverage. It's about community and connection - how can all the world consume the same fruit? And differently? How can we have so many different tastes? I also don't know. And because of this, I feel in love each day more for this world. Happy to share and make a change in the coffee community.
