However, the shop is quite small, so be prepared to order takeout or wait for a table if you want to sit inside and enjoy your coffee. Bar Centrale opens at 7.30 AM in the week and stays open until 1 AM on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; it is closed on a Sunday.

5. Man Versus Machine Coffee Roasters
Visiting Man Versus Machine is a must for any coffee-lover in Munich. It was founded in 2014 and uses some of the most expensive machinery to create specialty coffees, and it shows, as they offer some of the best tasting coffees in the city. You can choose from filter coffees or espresso depending on how strong you want your coffee to be. This coffee shop and roastery specialised in great coffee and good music. It has a relaxed vibe and is a fun place to hang out for a couple of hours. There are two Man Versus Machine Coffee locations in Munich: Glockenbachviertel and Maxvorstadt. 6. Café Blá
One of the most popular coffee shops in Munich, the inspiration for this business comes all the way from Iceland, bringing Nordic-style coffee to Germany. Their filter coffee is extremely popular; in fact, it might just be one of the best that you taste while in Munich. The coffee is roasted by the co-owner and head roaster, and their main aim is to showcase coffee and the people involved in the preparation process, highlighting the unique flavors that come from different coffee growing regions and processing methods. As well as specialty coffee, Café Blá also serves craft beer, wine, tea, and soft drinks. You can find Café Blá on Lilienstraße 34, 81669, just a short stroll from the Deutsches Museum. 7. Kaffeerösterei Vogelmaier
Located in Haidhausen, this coffee shop has a rustic vibe with plenty of natural wooden features and lots of antique décor. It is run by a couple who quit their jobs to follow their dream of traveling around the world to learn more about coffee. The décor is very Scandi-Alpine in feel, with whitewashed walls and natural wood. A workbench that is more than 100 years old has been converted into a coffee table and the café has original sash windows, with wonderful views. Coffee is presented on a wooden ladder, which adds a quirky sense of style. If you want a taste of authentic Bavarian style, Kaffeerösterei Vogelmaier is the place to come. There is a full range of different coffees on the menu, all of which are freshly brewed. Along with the delicious range of coffees on offer, you can get some of the best cinnamon rolls in the area here, supplied by Zimtschneckenfabrik. In addition, a range of coffee accessories are available to buy.
8. emilo Kaffee
Founded in 2012, emilo has grown to be one of the best-known coffee brands in Munich, and you will find their coffees served in various cafes around the city. Their coffee is roasted in east Munich, and they also make and serve classic German cakes including Nussecken, which is a triangular shortbread topped with chocolates and hazelnuts that is definitely worth trying if you like sweet treats. They have two flagship stores, emilo WESTEND and emilo GLOCKENBACK, which is located close to Gärtnerplaz, plus three others at various locations in Munich. Opening times vary between the different locations, so check the website before you visit. If you like their coffee and want to take some home with you, you can buy drip coffee bags that are perfect for traveling, as well as a host of other coffee products.
9. Fausto Kaffeerösterei
In the south of Munich, the Fausto Kaffeerösterei roastery and coffee shop is located in an old flour mill and has a huge range of coffee to choose from. Their spacious shop sells a wide range of different beans that you can buy to take home, or you can order a coffee to sip on in the stunning garden next to a babbling creek. The roastery and coffee shop is located near to several cycling paths along the Isar River, making it the perfect stop on a cycle ride. The shop and coffee bar is open from 11 AM to 7 PM, Monday-Friday, and 10 AM to 7 PM on a Saturday. It is closed on Sundays.
10. Pacandé
Pacandé was founded by Andreas, a German engineer who takes coffee roasting technology very seriously, and Ana, a Colombian copywriter, who comes from one of the best coffee-growing regions in the world. This company works directly with Colombian coffee farmers and their website and shop tell stories about the country, the people, and the coffee. Their small shop in Sendling, Munich, is definitely worth a visit if you want to watch the roasting process and give the coffee a try.
