How Long Is Brewed Coffee Good for?
Almost everyone loves a cup of Joe to start their day. That first sip of brewed coffee as part of a daily routine feels, at once, familiar and appealing.
Our days and weeks are so busy now that we often don’t have time for freshly brewed coffee. Maybe that would upset some stalwart coffee-loving Italians who love their fresh expresso, but for most people gearing up for the business day, taste must be balanced with available time. So, compromises are sometimes made, like instant coffee instead of grinding the beans yourself.
Sometimes, we even don’t brew a fresh cup and rely on coffee made before. Maybe we figure if they sell chilled coffee in a cup at the supermarket, we can do something similar for ourselves? Which begs the question, how long will coffee taste acceptable before it should be discarded in favor of making a fresh batch?

How Long Does Coffee Last In The Fridge?
If you’ve brewed an enormous pot of coffee and you have to go out, you’re taking the first right step to storage by keeping it in the fridge. However, if you let the coffee cool down and then reheat it, you will lose the all-important flavour.
Although, if you’re going to add in milk and sugar after you’ve stored the coffee, you don’t need to worry about that. Typically, if you’ve got a black brewed coffee, you can keep it in the fridge for two weeks (if stored in an airtight container). Once you’ve added milk to the coffee, you’re looking at two days in the fridge, and only if it’s stored in an airtight container and you’ve put it in the fridge within two hours. If you are going to store your coffee in the fridge, you should heat it to kill any bacteria - even though the taste will degrade. If you want to find out more, continue reading below.

Do Nespresso Pods Expire?
Nespresso pod coffee machines and the capsules to use with them have become very popular in recent times thanks to their speed and ease of use. Many people who use Nespresso pods love that they can be used to make a cup of coffee with no mess and in a short amount of time. However, there is one potential drawback of these pods. When you have a Nespresso machine, it can be tempting to buy them in bulk to keep in your kitchen so that you always have a supply of coffee. However, you might forget that you have some and worry that they might go bad before you use them, wasting your money and your coffee.
If you have a Nespresso machine or are considering getting one, you might be wondering if Nespresso pods expire. The answer is yes, they do; however, they will last a long time beforehand. Nespresso pods and other similar capsules usually have a very long shelf life. As long as you store them properly, they can last for a year or even longer.
If you want to buy Nespresso coffee pods in bulk and keep them in stock in your home, then storing them correctly can lengthen their shelf life so that you can go a long time before you need to buy more and stock up again. While they’re probably not going to last forever, they do have the potential to last for a very long time.
