Typically, an americano has one shot of espresso and either hot water or very hot milk. So the answer is about 75 - 135 mg. This is less than a cup of brewed coffee, which can range from 120 to 180 milligrams of caffeine.*
An Americano is traditionally made with 1 shot coffee + hot water/milk which varies in volume depending on the person drinking it. The amount of caffeine in an Americano also varies based upon which type coffee it is such as Robusta for example contains roughly twice as much caffeine per unit volume than Arabica.
